Auto-reply (out-of-office)
Set up an automatic reply for when you're away or unavailable.
What is auto-reply?
Auto-reply (also called vacation reply or out-of-office message) automatically sends a reply to anyone who emails you. Useful when you're on holiday, sick, or temporarily unavailable.
Each person receives at most one auto-reply every 7 days, so your contacts won't be flooded.
Enabling auto-reply
How to set up an auto-reply:
1. Go to Email and click on a mailbox
2. Open the "Auto-reply" tab
3. Toggle "Enable auto-reply" on
4. Fill in a subject and message
5. Optional: set a start and end date
6. Click Save
Tips
- If you set dates, the auto-reply will automatically activate and deactivate at those times.
- Without dates, the auto-reply stays active until you manually turn it off.
Disabling auto-reply
Go to the "Auto-reply" tab and toggle the switch off. Click Save. The message is saved for later use but will no longer be sent.
Tips
- You can leave the message in place and just turn off the toggle – handy if you want to reuse the message later.
