Real estate for agencies
Everything about the real estate system: activation, properties, agents, leads, feeds and import.
Activating real estate
To enable the real estate module:
1. Go to Settings → Widgets
2. Activate "Real Estate"
3. The real estate admin pages will appear in the sidebar
4. Listing blocks become available in the Page Builder
The module includes: property listings, agent profiles, enquiries (leads), feed distribution and import features.
Tips
- All widgets, including real estate, are available on every plan. The difference between plans is the number of websites.
- After activation you can immediately add and publish properties.
Configuring basic settings
Go to Real Estate → Settings to set your preferences:
• Currency (EUR, USD, GBP, ...)
• Measurement unit (m² or sq ft)
• Default listing type (for sale or for rent)
• Contact email for leads
• "Price on request" toggle
• Lead notification emails on/off
Tips
- The contact email is used as a fallback when a property has no assigned agent.
Adding content blocks
After activation, two blocks are available in the Page Builder:
• Real Estate Listings — displays a grid or list of properties, optionally with filters
• Agent Profile — shows an agent's profile with their listings
Drag the block onto your page and configure the display options in the sidebar.
Adding a new property
Go to Real Estate → Properties and click "New property":
1. Basic tab: title, description, type (for sale/for rent), property type, price and status
2. Location tab: address, postcode, city, coordinates (automatic via geocoding)
3. Features tab: bedrooms, bathrooms, living area, year built, energy label, amenities
4. Media tab: upload photos, reorder, floor plans, virtual tour URL
5. SEO tab: meta title, meta description, slug
Tips
- The slug is automatically generated from the title and city (e.g. "villa-with-3-bedrooms-in-amsterdam").
- You can always manually adjust the slug.
Photos and media
On the Media tab you manage all visual content:
• Upload multiple photos at once
• Drag photos to reorder them
• Add captions per photo
• Upload floor plans separately from photos
• Add a virtual tour URL (e.g. Matterport)
• Add a video URL (e.g. YouTube)
Tips
- The first photo is used as the hero image on the website.
- Floor plans are displayed in a separate tab in the lightbox.
Publishing and statuses
A property goes through the following statuses:
• Draft — not visible on the website
• Active — published and visible
• Sold — still visible but marked as sold
• Rented — marked as rented
• Withdrawn — no longer available
• Archived — removed from the overview
Use bulk actions to publish or archive multiple properties at once.
Note
- You can add a maximum number of listings as allowed by your subscription (Professional: 50, Agency: unlimited).
Translations
Via the Translations tab you can translate the title, description and SEO fields into other languages.
Use the "Translate with AI" button to automatically generate a translation based on the original text.
Tips
- Translations are automatically shown to visitors based on their language preference.
Adding an agent
Go to Real Estate → Agents and click "New agent":
• Name, email and phone number
• Upload profile photo
• Bio (short description)
• Specialisations (e.g. residential, commercial, luxury)
• Languages
• Licence number
Tips
- You can optionally link an agent to a CMS user, giving them access to the admin panel.
Linking an agent to properties
When creating or editing a property you can assign an agent.
The agent appears on the property detail page with photo, name and contact details. Enquiries are automatically sent to the linked agent's email address.
Agent Profile block
With the "Agent Profile" block you display an agent profile on your website:
• Select the agent via a dropdown
• Choose the layout: card or full-width
• Optional: show the agent's listings
On the website, the name, bio, specialisations, contact details and optionally the agent's properties are displayed.
How leads come in
Visitors can submit an enquiry via the contact form on the property detail page.
The form contains: name, email, phone number and message. Spam is prevented with Turnstile verification.
After submission, the assigned agent (or the backup contact email) receives an email notification with the interested party's details.
Tips
- The contact form automatically includes a pre-filled message with the property title.
Managing leads in the admin
Go to Real Estate → Leads to view all enquiries:
• Filter by status: new, contacted, qualified, converted, archived
• Filter by property
• Click a lead for the full message and contact details
• Update the status to track your pipeline
• Click "Reply" to open an email directly
Email notifications
For each new enquiry an email is sent containing:
• Thumbnail of the property
• Name and contact details of the interested party
• The full message
• A direct reply link
Email notifications can be toggled on or off via Real Estate → Settings.
Available platforms
The feed distribution module supports:
• Kyero (XML v3 format) — aimed at international buyers in Spain, Portugal and France
• Idealista (JSON v6 format) — the largest real estate platform in Southern Europe
Each platform can be enabled or disabled separately.
Tips
- You can also set up a custom feed URL for platforms that are not supported by default.
Setting up a feed
Go to Real Estate → Feeds to configure distribution:
1. Activate the desired platform
2. A unique feed URL is automatically generated with a security token
3. Copy the URL and paste it in the admin panel of Kyero or Idealista
4. Click "Generate now" for an initial feed generation
Afterwards, the feed is automatically refreshed on changes (cache: 1 hour).
Tips
- The feed URL contains a token and cannot be accessed without this link.
Note
- Only share the feed URL with trusted platforms. Anyone with the URL can view your listings.
Synchronisation status
On the Feeds page you can see per platform:
• On/off status
• Feed URL (copyable)
• Last synchronisation
• Number of listings in the feed
• Any error messages
Importing via file
Go to Real Estate → Feeds and scroll to the "Import listings" section:
1. Select an XML file (Kyero v3) or JSON file (Idealista v6)
2. The format is automatically detected
3. Click "Import"
4. After completion you see a summary: number added, updated and errors
Tips
- Imported properties are set to "Draft" status. Review them before publishing.
- On a second import, existing properties are updated based on the external ID (no duplicates).
Note
- The import respects your subscription limit. If you reach the maximum number of listings, remaining properties are skipped.
Deduplication
The system recognises properties by their external ID (the ID from the original platform).
• New external ID → new listing as draft
• Existing external ID → existing listing is updated
This prevents duplicates on repeated imports.
Advanced search (radius, filters)
Visitors can search properties using advanced filters and radius search:
• More filters panel: bathrooms, minimum living area (m²), amenities
• Location search: type a place name or use "My location" for GPS
• Radius slider: set a range (1–100 km) to find properties nearby
• Autocomplete: while typing, suggestions for properties, cities and agents appear
• Results are sorted by distance when a location is active
Tips
- Radius search works together with all other filters (price, type, bedrooms, etc.).
- The location is saved in the URL, so visitors can share a search link.
Favorites and compare
Visitors can mark properties as favorites and compare them:
• Click the heart icon to add a property to favorites (max 50)
• Favorites are stored in the browser (localStorage) or synced with an account
• Share your favorites via a unique URL
• Select up to 4 properties for a side-by-side comparison
• The comparison table shows price, type, location, features and amenities
Tips
- The compare icon appears on every property card in the overview.
- The compare bar stays visible at the bottom of the screen while browsing.
Saved searches and alerts
Visitors can save their search and receive email notifications:
1. Set filters and click "Save search"
2. Enter name, email address and notification frequency (instant, daily or weekly)
3. After saving, you receive a confirmation email
4. When new properties match, you receive an alert email
5. Manage your saved searches via the manage link in each email
Tips
- In the admin (Real Estate → Saved Searches) you can view and manage all saved searches from visitors.
- The scheduler automatically checks for new matches based on the configured frequency.
Mortgage calculator
On the property detail page there is a mortgage calculator:
• The property price is automatically filled in
• The visitor can adjust down payment, interest rate and loan term
• The estimated monthly payment is calculated in real time
• A chart shows the ratio of principal vs. interest
• Total payment and total interest are displayed
• Currency formatting adapts to the website language (e.g. €1,234 for EN, € 1.234 for NL)
Default values are configurable via Real Estate → Settings:
• Default interest rate (e.g. 3.8% for the Netherlands, 2.5% for Spain)
• Default down payment (%)
• Default loan term (10–30 years)
• Max financing (LTV) — determines the minimum down payment (e.g. NL: 100% = 0% required, ES: 80% = 20% minimum)
Tips
- Adjust the default interest rate to the average in your country/region. Visitors can always change it manually.
- The calculator only appears on properties for sale with a visible price (not on 'price on request').
Note
- The calculation is indicative and does not constitute financial advice. This is also communicated to the visitor.
